Overnight success = 2.5 years in the making
It took us 18 months to reach our first $1M ARR at Papermark.
It took 6 more months to reach $2M ARR.
From the outside, those numbers look like a sudden spike. From the inside, it's 2.5 years of unglamorous work — shipping features nobody asked for, killing features everyone asked for, answering support tickets at midnight, rewriting the onboarding flow for the fourth time.
"Overnight success" is almost always the visible slice of a much longer compounding curve. Most of it is invisible. The job is to keep showing up during the invisible part.
Keep building.
